NEW - Diploma & BSc University Certificates
These two awards have been specifically designed and developed to widen choice for our students. They acknowledge that some practitioners already have an existing diploma or degree but would benefit from a respiratory related university qualification to support their role or personal development.
The awards are particularly beneficial to practice nurses and practitioners within the community setting who are working with a range of co-morbidities and regularly care for people with respiratory conditions.
University Higher Certificate in Respiratory Assessment & Management
Diploma level - 30 credit core module plus optional 30 credits

The University Higher Certificate in Respiratory Assessment and Management programme aims are to enable the student to:

Provide a choice of opportunities for furthering professional, clinical and academic expertise relating to respiratory disease management

Acquire applied clinical skills and knowledge

Develop practitioners' subject knowledge and understanding relating to respiratory assessment

Develop practitioners' subject knowledge and understanding relating to management of an aspect of a specific respiratory disease

Enable the practitioner to develop key transferable skills
University Advanced Certificate in Respiratory Practice
BSc level - 20 credit core module plus optional 40 credits

The University Advanced Certificate in Respiratory Practice aims are to enable the student to:

Meet service needs and the continuing demands and complexities of respiratory practice which is transcending traditional professional boundaries and clinical settings

Understand assessment, diagnosis and management of one aspect of respiratory practice

Participate in the holistic care of and work pro-actively towards the prevention of disease and disorders

Address the national drivers such as clinical guidelines and strategies

Have you studied an ASTHMA, COPD OR NIV module with Respiratory Education UK in the last 5 years at either Diploma or BSc level on a stand alone basis? If so, these credits can now be transferred into these new awards.
APL from other Educational Institutions (same rule re modules and timescale applies) is also possible.
