Studying on a short course or attending a study day is a great way to update yourself or learn new skills relating to clinical practice. Our courses naturally have respiratory focused themes that will help you understand and care for people with respiratory conditions more effectively.
As you can see, the events address "hot" topics including asthma, COPD and spirometry. They are each run differently to give you the best learning experience associated with the subject you are studying. This will always include teacher led sessions, but can also include demonstrations and hands on workshops so you can practice your skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
Our events will not only help you gain new knowledge and skills, they will also increase your confidence around respiratory practice. Added to this, they fit within a framework of 'life long learning' so can support you in both your personal and professional development, providing you with information and a Certificate of Attendance to enhance your PDP.
The evidence based events are run by specialists and attended by a range of practitioners and incorporate the latest national guidance and relevant policies to ensure your practice is appropriate and up to date. They are a cost effective way to increase your knowledge and you are encouraged to book early.
Study days are held at our central offices in Aintree, Liverpool and at alternative locations in the UK based on groups of 12 or more. All delegates receive an REUK Certificate of Attendance. Please click here for downloadable leaflet of all REUK short courses and dates.
The structure and content of our study days are outlined in this section, however bespoke programmes can be designed to address individual needs and requirements.
Please contact Karen Frankland, Head of Short Course Provision, for more details of our Short Course Programme, or to discuss the development of a bespoke event. karen.frankland@respiratoryeduk.com or telephone 0151 529 6232.
